In recent times the use of discretionary fund management (DFM) has grown significantly and allows clients to delegate the day-to-day investment decisions and ongoing management of their portfolio to a team of professional, highly experienced investment managers.

At MDG, we believe that this function should be outsourced to firms who have specialist teams with the expertise and technology to focus solely on the day to day management of money.

We use a number of DFM firms, but have a strategic partnership with Evelyn Partners that provides our clients with preferential rates and services.

We constantly run due dilligence on the DFM’s we recommend. This includes brand and financial strength, the quality of their investment process and the personnel managing the portfolios and the company. Other factors are their willingness to listen and work closely with us to ensure the best possible service to our clients – especially in respect of performance, reporting, communications and ethos.
